The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has invited online nominations under the INSPIRE-MANAK Scheme for the year 2026–27. 

The Scheme aims to promote creativity and innovation among students of Classes VI to XII. Schools may nominate up to five original and innovative ideas through the E-Management of INSPIRE-MANAK Scheme (E-MIAS) portal.

PN 448---Dissemination of Information on the Prime Minister Research Chair (PMRC) Scheme

The Embassy of India in the United Arab Emirates wishes to draw your attention to the Prime Minister Research Chair (PMRC) Scheme, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Scheme aims to attract and engage distinguished researchers and scientists of Indian origin working in leading universities, research laboratories, R&D organizations, and industry across the world for long-term research engagement in premier institutions in India.

The PMRC Scheme seeks to strengthen India's research and innovation ecosystem by facilitating high-impact research, teaching, mentorship, and international collaboration in areas of national priority, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, healthcare, biotechnology, clean energy, advanced materials, cybersecurity, manufacturing, agriculture, space, and other frontier technologies. In this regard, you are requested to kindly circulate the enclosed information on the PMRC Scheme among your school's stakeholders, including:

• Parents and alumni who may be researchers, scientists, faculty members, or professionals in academia and R&D;
  

• Members of your governing body and academic advisory boards;
  

• Your professional and alumni networks; and
  

• Any other eligible persons of Indian origin who may be associated with universities, research institutions, laboratories, or innovation-driven industries.
  

You may also display the enclosed information on your school's website, newsletters, and other communication platforms, wherever feasible, to facilitate wider outreach within the Indian community.

A brief on PMRC Scheme, setting out the categories of engagement, the thematic areas, and the support available to fellows, is enclosed for your reference. Interested candidates may obtain detailed information regarding eligibility, thematic areas, fellowship categories, and the application process through the PMRC Portal: https://pmrc.education.gov.in.
