It covers topics including recognising changes in a child’s behaviour, understanding common risk and protective factors, supporting children in expressing their feelings, and knowing when additional professional support may be required.

The guide also highlights the importance of creating a safe environment for conversations, asking open-ended questions, listening actively, and acknowledging children’s feelings and efforts.
