1. It has come to the notice of the school authorities that certain students have created Instagram accounts using the name and identity of the school and have been posting offensive, defamatory, and inappropriate content targeting students and members of staff.
2. We have also received reports of AI-generated videos containing vulgar and objectionable material being circulated through social media platforms.
3. The school views such acts with the utmost seriousness. Creating fake social media accounts, impersonating an institution or individuals, publishing defamatory or obscene content, and misusing Artificial Intelligence to create and circulate inappropriate material are serious offences and constitute cyber crimes under the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates.
4. Students are hereby reminded that their digital actions carry legal and disciplinary consequences. Any student found directly or indirectly involved in creating, sharing, encouraging, or promoting such content will be subject to strict disciplinary action in accordance with the school's Code of Conduct. Where warranted, the matter may also be referred to the appropriate legal authorities.
5. Parents are requested to speak to their children about responsible digital citizenship, ethical use of social media, and the legal implications of online misconduct.
6. We seek your cooperation in monitoring your child's online activities and encouraging them to use technology responsibly and respectfully.
7. Students are strongly advised not to create, forward, like, comment on, or share such content in any form. If anyone comes across such accounts or posts, they should refrain from engaging with them and report the matter immediately to the school authorities so that appropriate action can be taken.
