International Day of Yoga celebration in Abu Dhabi.

                               Greetings! As you are aware, the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi is organizing International day of Yoga in Abu Dhabi on the evening of 20^thJune, 2017 at ADNEC. As build up measures for the international Day of Yoga celebration in Abu Dhabi, the Embassy of India is organizing the online quiz contest on Yoga and Naturopathy on its social media platform, i.e. Facebook. The information about the same will be posted on the Website of the Embassy i.e.  www.indembassyuae.org and the interested participants have to answer relevant quiz questions on facebook page (@IndiaInUAE) of the Embassy as per the schedule prescribed on the Embassy website. The quiz contest will be organized on daily basis starting from 12^th June, 2017 till the IDY, i.e. 21^st June, 2017. You are kindly requested to inform all your esteemed members to participate in the online quiz contest.

                 Besides the online quiz contest, the Embassy will also organize an article writing contest on benefits of Yoga for Cancer, antenatal care and depression. The information and time schedule will be posted on the Embassy website and social media platforms. You are requested to disseminate the information to the members of your organization to participate in maximum number to create awareness about IYD and to make it a grand success.

                The winners of the above contests will be awarded by the Embassy and their names will also be notified on the Embassy website and social media platforms. Your participation and support will be highly appreciated.

Think and Learn Challenge (Grade 4-9)

                              Greetings! The STAR TV Network (a 21st Century FOX Company) is proud to announce the commencement of the 2^nd Season of the pan GCC, school quiz contest on TV  The Think & Learn Challenge 2017 Season 2 (TLC 2) in collaboration with  Asianet Middle East and STAR Plus Middle East.Students will be tested on various skills like problem solving, visual reasoning, linguistic skills, general knowledge, mathematical and scientific aptitude.

 The first round / screening test will be a written test of 40 minutes duration using an OMR sheet,will be conducted in school for all the students from Grade 4^th to Grade 9^th. 

Note: The preliminary test will be conducted on 15/06/2017.

Instructions for the Preliminary test

• The screening test would comprise of 20 questions.
• Duration of the test - 40 minutes.
• There is no negative marking in the test.Correct option will carry 4 marks.
• The student has to fill his/her Name,Parent's Name, Mobile number and Class/ Section in the OMR sheet.
• The Students can use only Black, Blue Ball Point Pen or a Pencil.

Launch of website competition by imagination team-Grade 4 to 12

                                   Greetings! It gives us immense pleasure to announce the launch of website by imagination team www.imagination.ae. It is a creative space exclusively for children. It offers a limitless platform for children of all ages to showcase their talents and explore their imagination and creativity. Students can publish their creative works free of charge and securely distribute the same through website. Our vision is "To bring innovation and inspiration to every kid in the region".

 

 We feel that the inputs from students would be extremely valuable.  We request you to submit poems, stories, articles, interviews, drawings and artworks of your ward. The shortlisted submissions will be published on the portal.

 

Criteria for submission

 

Ø Children belongs to an age group of 9- 17 can submit their works in respective categories.

Ø Content including but not limited to poems, stories, interviews, articles on various topics ranging from business, arts, sports as well as paintings and drawings can be submitted.

Ø Written content must be submitted in Word format whereas Paintings and drawings need to be in Jpeg format.

Ø Works has to be either in English or in Malayalam.

Ø All submissions are subject to be edited for accuracy, clarity, quality and length.

Congratulations to Ms.Devanshee Mishra of Grade 12 B for being selected to represent UAE in the 48th International Physics Olympiad to be held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 16th to 24th July,2017. The selection was done through two levels of challenging qualifiers conducted by IOF (International Olympiad Foundation). Ms.Devanshee was among the top 5 of those who appeared for both the tests.
