We are excited to announce that the GALAXY SCIENCE CLUB of Sunrise English Private School, AUH will be organizing a Science Exhibition to foster creativity, innovation, and scientific thinking among students. This event provides a wonderful platform for students to explore scientific concepts, showcase their talents, and apply classroom learning to real-life situations.
Theme: "The Power of Science: Connecting Life, Matter & Energy"
Day and Date: Friday, 19th September 2025.
Venue: MPH
Participants: Students from Grade 6-9 and 11
Students are encouraged to participate individually or in groups of three and present working or still models with the demonstrations related to the list of topics given below for each grade.
WE ENCOURAGE THE INCLUSION OF INNOVATIVE IDEAS BEYOND THE SUGGESTED PROJECTS. WE REQUEST THAT ALL CONTRIBUTIONS REMAIN ALIGNED WITH THE DESIGNATED SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTAL GOAL ASSIGNED TO EACH GRADE.
GRADE-6
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being
- DIY Water Purification System – Show how to remove impurities from dirty water.
- Affordable Hand Sanitizer Production – Make a cost-effective sanitizer using safe ingredients.
- Spread of Germs Simulation – Use glitter or UV powder to show how germs spread and how to prevent it.
- Healthy Plate Model – Display a balanced diet for growing children.
SDG 4: Quality Education
- Solar-Powered Classroom Tools – Make a mini projector or lamp using solar panels.
- Mobile Science Lab Kit – Create a portable kit with basic experiments for remote areas.
- Interactive Science Game – Build a board or digital quiz game to teach science in fun ways.

SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
- Rainwater Harvesting Model – Demonstrate how to collect and store rainwater for use.
- Grey water Recycling Setup – Show how water from sinks can be reused for gardening.
- Tippy Tap Model – Simple and hygienic hand washing system for rural areas.
SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
- Mini Solar Oven – Use a pizza box and foil to cook using sunlight.
- Wind Turbine Model – Create a working small-scale wind turbine.
- Biogas from Kitchen Waste – Demonstrate how organic waste can produce fuel.
GRADE-8
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
- Smart Traffic Light System – Show how sensors can reduce traffic and pollution.
- Eco-Brick House Model – Build a model house using plastic-filled eco-bricks.
- Vertical Farming Model – Compact food growing for urban areas.
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
- Plastic Recycling Machine (DIY Version) – Show the process of melting and reshaping plastics.
- Eco-Friendly Packaging – Make packaging from banana leaves, cornstarch, or paper.
- Composting at Home – Small-scale organic waste composter for gardens.
GRADE-9
SDG 13: Climate Action
- Greenhouse Effect Demo – Use jars and lamps to show how CO₂ traps heat.
- Carbon Footprint Calculator – Help people calculate and reduce their emissions.
- Tree Planting Impact Model – Simulate how trees absorb CO₂ and improve air quality.
SDG 14: Life below Water
- Ocean Cleanup Boat Model – A prototype to collect floating plastic waste.
- Oil Spill Cleanup Experiment – Use cotton, paper towels, etc., to find the best method.
- Coral Bleaching Simulation – Explain temperature effects on coral reefs.
GRADE-11
