This team-based activity provides the opportunity for school students to showcase their IT skills to peers, university students, academics and industry experts. The IT Marathon consists of five categories:
IT Contest, IT Showcase, IT-4Kids and IT-4Kids "Smart World" and ITSpecial Needs.
The first two competitions are team-based where each team consists of three students, while others are individual.
IT Contest (for grade 9 -12 students)
IT contest challenges general IT skills of participating students in Web design, programming, hardware, and graphics.
IT Showcase (for grade 10 -12 students)
The objective of this showcase is to provide a venue for young innovators to demonstrate their creative ideas in both software and hardware areas of the vibrant IT knowledge field.
· The visual programming language, called Scratch, or
· The Microsoft online programming environment, called TouchDevelop.
IT4 Special Needs,
IT4 Special Needs offers the opportunities to show the ability of students with special needs to contribute to the IT field with new ideas, software tools, IT equipment, etc. Two categories of participation are offered:
1. IT Showcase 4SpecialNeeds (grades 5-12)
2. IT4SpecialNeeds Kids. ( grades 1-6)
If your ward is interested in participating in any of the above said competition, kindly let us know through the attached acknowledgement.
The last date to submit the acknowledgement is 02.03.2020.The selection round will take place in the school.

About VIPNET:
VIgyan Prasar NETwork of Science club is a unique programme initiated in the year 1998 to weave all science clubs, societies, organizations to strengthen the popular science movement in the country. The network started working as extended arms of Vigyan Prasar for communicating science with far reaching implications for the development of society through skill up-gradation training, workshops and outreach activities. The presence of clubs can be marked throughout the Indian map. Moreover, these clubs is not just limited to schools but outside the school as well which encompasses residential colonies, villages, panchayats etc. The prime objective of the project is to create scientific awareness, generate curiosity, and develop scientific temper with the spirit of enquiry amongst Indian citizens.
The VIPNET clubs acts as local activity centres of Vigyan Prasar for science communication to bring about the change at the remotest of places in India. These clubs are doing these activities as a voluntary service. This role of science club is very much important for perceiving the impact of science in the thinking, temperament and daily practices of life and to disseminate the usefulness of science in society.

The competition will be held for 3 age groups:

Note
- Do not write elongated messages on the art work. This will incur negative marking.
- Six winners from three categories will be selected – Namely The winner, First Runner up, Second Runner up and three
consolation prize winners. The Prize Winners will be invited to attend EEG's awarding ceremony in the month of may2020.
Where they will be awarded prizes and certificates accordingly.
- Please ensure that the name of the student or school is not mentioned within or in the front of the drawing. Parents may
give encouragement, but must not have any role in creating artwork.

these requirements will be disqualified and returned upon request
