                          The Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has mandated  that all students from Grades 3 to 9 must participate in  an external assessment. Sunrise English Private School has chosen ACER IBT as  the required assessment as per the National Agenda Parameter for Abu Dhabi and UAE. The exam will be conducted online(as per the instructions by ADEK) ,during the month of November 2022. The assessment will be for English, Mathematics and Science.

    

Please note that ACER exam fees of 80 Dirhams will be collected with second term fees. Those parents who have already paid the second term fees are requested to pay 80 Dirhams to the below mentioned school accounts latest by 03/11/2022(Extended last date).

               Sunrise English Private School, Abu Dhabi always focus on the betterment of each and every student of our institution. Keeping in mind the mental health of the students we are coming up with an initiative to lend a supporting hand to the students who are experiencing difficulties at home. The programme is aimed at handling the students with special support and care. Parents  need to email a  "Handle with Care" note beforehand to the teachers. No further questions will be asked to the student regarding the issues but the child will be given extra time and help during the school time. We expect the support of every parent in our new initiative.

PN 332--INTER SCHOOL STEAM COMPETITION - [Grade 4-12]

Parents 

                      We are excited to announce STEAM competition open to all students in the UAE across different curriculums. Students will design a STEAM model which solves a problem and showcase it in the school Science fair. The competition is supported by ADEK and listed on its platform Interschool STEAM Competition – ADEK.

The competition will be held for three different groups:

1.     8-10 years of age

2.     11-13 years of age

3.     14-17 years of age

                Learners are invited to apply their STEAM skills and knowledge innovatively to solve real-world problems and showcase their ideas via a competition entry.They should research and identify their own real-world problem to solve which should have a local or global impact.

Learners can use any element of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, and math) to create their solution and submit it as a project which will be submitted in the school.

Project submissions will be measured against the following criteria:

·       Problem-solving – Does the solution solve the problem completely or partially

·       Innovation – Are there similar solutions and does the solution have elements not previously seen

·       Creativity – Does the solution go beyond traditional methods

·       Impact – How much potential impact can the solution have globally or locally

·       Communication – how effectively can you communicate your ideas and solutions

Submissions will be measured against a custom framework incorporating the above areas of focus.

Learners can enter the competition in 3 easy steps:

1.     Complete the project as per guidelines and submit before deadline in the school

2.     Post the project on social media and explain what problem the project solves and how it does this

3.     Wait for the competition results announced via Trusity's social media channels

 Prizes will be given according to the following categories:

1.     Most Innovative project

2.     Most Popular project

3.     Most Innovative School – This will be based on the highest number of submissions and the innovative approach.

                              CLAY MODELING COMPETITION for the students of Grade 3 will be held on 03/11/2022. The competition is organized by the USST Department with an objective to stimulate the imagination of the children and to remind them of the nation's glory, beauty and heritage to express their love for the UAE.

 

CONDUCT AND RULES OF THE COMPETITION

1.      Grade 3 students are eligible to participate in this competition.

2.     Participants can use 4 to 6 colours of clay.

3.     Using accessories or extra objects is permitted.

4.     The participant can make 3-D models representing U.A.E.

5.      Models should be made from home and submitted on the day of the competition.

6.      Clay models should have an A-4 base and be labeled with the student's name and class.

7.     Judgment will be based on perfection, subject relevance, colour concept, creativity, and imagination.

8.     Interested participants can send the acknowledgment to the mail id given below latest by 31/10/2022 (Monday)

                                        Greetings of Peace. We kindly request you to make a generous Charity (sadaqah) to enable us in the program we have undertaken to serve the humanity.

 

Sadaqah encompasses any act of charitable giving done out of compassion, love, friendship, humanity or generosity and is considered one of the fundamental principles of humanity; Sadaqah is considered a sign of sincere faith towards the welfare contribution to poor and deprived individuals.

 

                        You can thus be a part of our program that aims to help the people affected in different parts of the world, particularly the deprived children. Together, we can serve the cause of humanity by saving lives through the act of kindness.

 

We are requesting for charity in any form of food products, like packets of rice, pulses, biscuits, noodles,wheat, sugar, Cornflakes, flour, Oats etc. If you are interested in supporting this effort, please send the edible products through your wards.
