Learners are invited to apply their STEAM skills and knowledge innovatively to solve real-world problems and showcase their ideas via a competition entry.They should research and identify their own real-world problem to solve which should have a local or global impact.
Learners can use any element of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, and math) to create their solution and submit it as a project which will be submitted in the school.
Project submissions will be measured against the following criteria:
· Problem-solving – Does the solution solve the problem completely or partially
· Innovation – Are there similar solutions and does the solution have elements not previously seen
· Creativity – Does the solution go beyond traditional methods
· Impact – How much potential impact can the solution have globally or locally
· Communication – how effectively can you communicate your ideas and solutions
Submissions will be measured against a custom framework incorporating the above areas of focus.
1. Complete the project as per guidelines and submit before deadline in the school
2. Post the project on social media and explain what problem the project solves and how it does this
3. Wait for the competition results announced via Trusity's social media channels
Prizes will be given according to the following categories:
1. Most Innovative project
2. Most Popular project
3. Most Innovative School – This will be based on the highest number of submissions and the innovative approach.
