PN 637--Environmental Drawing Competition [Grade 1-9]

Respected Students and  Parents 

                        Art and nature are fun and such effective stress reduction tools. Year after year EEG seeks out ways to connect youth with nature and inspire them to create masterpieces. EEG has been holding the "Environmental Drawing Competition" since 2007 to promote environmental education and enhance environmental awareness amongst the youth community. This competition has entered the 18^th edition and continues to be an excellent opportunity for young artists to compete nationally and showcase their creative talents. The goal of this competition is to encourage students to deepen their understanding of environmental issues and reflect on sustainability from a holistic perspective through the creation of artworks.

 

With this aim in mind, we cordially invite you to the 19^th Cycle of the Environmental Drawing Competition 2024. The topics are chosen each year as a result of thorough research and analysis which are then finalised after comprehensive discussion based on relevance to local, national and international trends.

The topics this year are the following:-

 

SI	Age Groups	Topics
1	Age 6 – 8	A Breath of Purity
2	Age 9 – 11	Wheel of Tomorrow
3	Age 12 – 14	Waste-less Wonders

Nine (9) winners from each of the three (3) groups will be selected as follows - The Winner, 1^st Runner Up, 2^nd Runner Up, 3 Merit Awards and 3 Consolation Awards. The winners will be invited to attend EEG's Environmental Drawing Competition Awarding Ceremony on Wednesday 22^nd May 2024; they will be rewarded prizes and certificates. All other participating students will receive an E-certificate for their participation. 

The entries of the Winners will also be included in the EEG Table Calendar of the year 2025, which is widely distributed throughout the country.

Interested Candidates submit the entries to the respective Art Teachers on or before February 20th 2024
