Respected Parents,

We are excited to inform you about a creative and engaging competition that has been organized for our Grade 5 students – the Ad Mad Book Show! This competition is designed to encourage students to explore their favorite books in a fun and imaginative way, allowing them to bring a character from their chosen book to life and present it in an advertisement format.

Competition Details:

• Event Name: Ad Mad Book Show

• Target Participants: Grade 5 Students

• Date: September 6, 2024

• Time Duration: 2-3 minutes per participant

Competition Overview:

In the Ad Mad Book Show, each participant will select a character from a book they love ,dress up like that character and portray that character as if they have come alive to advertise the book. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to use their creativity, acting skills, and understanding of the book to make their character and its story appealing to an audience.

Judgment Criteria:

Participants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. Apt Content: The relevance and accuracy of the content in promoting the book.

2. Costume & Props: The creativity and appropriateness of the costume and props in representing the character and the book.

3. Gesticulation: The use of gestures and movements to enhance the presentation.

4. Voice & Articulation: Clarity, expressiveness, and effectiveness of speech.

5. Overall Presentation: The overall impact of the performance, including confidence, enthusiasm, and audience engagement.

Preparation Guidelines:

• Students should choose a book and a character that they feel passionate about and are familiar with.

• Encourage your child to practice their presentation at home, focusing on the key judging criteria.

• Costumes and props should be simple yet effective in conveying the character's essence.

• Ensure that the presentation stays within the 2-3 minute time frame to allow all participants adequate time to perform.
