Kool Kamp - Be An Influencer

Please note that PeoplePro International is pleased to invite the students of your school to our online vacation camp - 'Kool Kamp - Be An Influencer'.

Kool Kamp is a vacation leadership camp of 10 day intense leadership and is designed with a variety of activities. Students learn how to strive to do their personal best and how to make a positive difference in their schools, families and communities.

This time the camp is online and students have the comfort of joining from their homes.

Let’s paint the world a different colour” - the perfect way for children Grade 4-12

Let's paint the world a different colour" - the perfect way for children to end the school year.

In the last few months, our planet has changed irrevocably. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected every community across the globe and taken the lives of thousands, but it has also changed how we think, work and live.

This might be the perfect way for children to end the school year and leave their mark through Art in a way that will contribute to others, and live on through the painting that is being created by Sacha Jafri .

Over the coming weeks, Sacha Jafri will make Atlantis, The Palm, his home as he converts their Ballroom into one of the biggest art studios on the planet. He will be inviting children across the globe to 'Paint the World a Different Colour'. These individual Works of Art will be pasted to the canvas, inside huge circular portals painted by Jafri, which will show the window to a better future through the eyes of our Creator's greatest gift. Parents Survey--[Planning for School Reopening- Important email from ADEK]

Respected Parents,

The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged us - as students, parents, teachers, school leaders, governments, and as a society - in unprecedented ways. We have had to work together to stay apart, experience discomfort for our own protection, reassure our loved ones in the midst of uncertainty, and learn to navigate the digital world for all our real-world needs. As parents, you undertook one of the most demanding endeavors: to simultaneously manage multiple roles, that of carer, worker, learner, and perhaps new to many of you, teacher. Some of you, as frontline workers, carried the additional responsibility of doing so in the face of elevated daily exposure to risk. Schools around the world have begun reopening, and all educators agree on one thing: there is nothing more beneficial to a child's learning and wellbeing than being back at school with teachers, peers, and friends. In line with the Ministry of Education's announcement that the new school year will begin on 30 August 2020, we have begun working with our private schools to consider possible reopening scenarios.

Our aim is to develop policy guidelines for safe operations, teaching and learning, wellbeing, and community support to assist schools in preparing for a potential reopening. We also hope to help our partners in the government and private sectors in considering childcare needs for working parents. To that effect we have developed this survey to gain a deeper understanding of your needs. Therefore, your participation is very important as your insights will help inform our decision-making to map the way forward.

Story telling competition- Grade 1 to 5

Respected Parents,

Story telling opens up the vivid imaginations that run wild in children and also builds confidence and enhances speaking skills.

Sunrise school is excited to announce that an online story telling competition will be held on 28th and 29th of June 2020 for the students of Grade 1 to 5 during the school hours.

There will be an elimination round conducted on 25/6/2020-Thursday. Props and Costumes are not required.

The theme of the story to be selected is the same as given below.

FINAL ROUND WILL BE AS FOLLOWS

Category 1:

Grade 1 and 2 - 28/6/2020- SUNDAY

Topic A: Birds and animals

Topic B: Moral values

TIME: 3 MINUTES

Category 2:

Grades 3, 4 and 5- 28/6/2020- SUNDAY

Topic A: Adventure and fun

Topic B: Moral Values

Time limit: 3 Minutes

Stories will be judged on the basis of expression, confidence, diction and presentation skills of the students.

Students can use props and costumes . ( WITH AVAILABLE MATERIALS AND DRESSES AVAILABLE AT HOME. READYMADE OUTFITS ARE NOT ENCOURAGED.)
