The Embassy of India in the United Arab Emirates wishes to draw your attention to the Prime Minister Research Chair (PMRC) Scheme, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Scheme aims to attract and engage distinguished researchers and scientists of Indian origin working in leading universities, research laboratories, R&D organizations, and industry across the world for long-term research engagement in premier institutions in India.
The PMRC Scheme seeks to strengthen India's research and innovation ecosystem by facilitating high-impact research, teaching, mentorship, and international collaboration in areas of national priority, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, healthcare, biotechnology, clean energy, advanced materials, cybersecurity, manufacturing, agriculture, space, and other frontier technologies. In this regard, you are requested to kindly circulate the enclosed information on the PMRC Scheme among your school's stakeholders, including:
Parents and alumni who may be researchers, scientists, faculty members, or professionals in academia and R&D;
Members of your governing body and academic advisory boards;
Your professional and alumni networks; and
Any other eligible persons of Indian origin who may be associated with universities, research institutions, laboratories, or innovation-driven industries.
You may also display the enclosed information on your school's website, newsletters, and other communication platforms, wherever feasible, to facilitate wider outreach within the Indian community.
