Greetings from Sunrise English Private School!Please find attached the communication received from the Ministry of Family regarding the Child Digital Safety – Social Media Regulation for children under 16 years of age.

The key points are:

• The minimum age for creating and using social media accounts is 15 years.
  
• Children aged 15 to under 16 may continue using their accounts with enhanced safety protections.
  
• The regulation covers platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok and X.
  
• Gaming platforms such as Roblox and Fortnite are excluded.
• Parents are encouraged to support children in developing healthy screen-time habits, responsible online behaviour and awareness of online safety.
