PN 220--ACER EXAM Fees 2023-GRADE 3-9

Respected Parents,

                  The Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has mandated  that all students from Grades 3 to 9 must participate in an external assessment every year.Sunrise English Private School has chosen ACER IBT as the Standardized Benchmark Assessment for the school (as indicated in the Standardized Assessment Policy Guidelines) The exam will be conducted online,during the school hours in the month of November 2023. The assessment will be for English, Mathematics and Science.

The IBT offers schools the opportunity to participate in a standardized Assessment that provides comprehensive diagnostic feedback 

Please note that ACER exam fees of 80 Dirhams will be collected between 1-15 June, 2023.

PN 232--Arabic Reading Competition -Grade 6-9

                                                     Arabic Reading is the most intimate, personal, spontaneous form of expression of any language. Arabic Reading aims at preparing students in Reading and creative skills and students will identify new Vocabulary meaning of several reading scripts, and recognize reading ways from the Arab world.

CONDUCT AND RULES OF THE COMPETITION :-
1. Grade 6-9 students are eligible to participate in this competition
2- Read some topics from the outside paragraph.
3-Participants have to complete the Reading on the time limit (1 hour)
4-It will be judged on the basis of clarity, creativity Reading, Fast reading and overall presentation.

Parents,

                         An Elocution competition is being organized by Canterbury Club (Primary Department of English) for Grade 4 & 5 students. The main objective of the competition is to encourage the young minds to develop their self-expression and confidence by exhibiting their oratory skills.

Topic: Elocution

Present a speech on any one the given topics-

1. Importance of reading in our life

2. My favorite fictional character

3. Actions speak louder than words

4. Social media-Bane or Boon?

5. Importance of AI in education

Objective: To develop their self-expression and confidence by exhibiting their oratory skills.

 

RULES OF THE COMPETITION

• Topic: Prepare on any one of the topics given

• Grades eligible:  Grade4 - 5 Girls and Boys

• Duration– 2-3 minutes for each student. 

• It is a solo event and the competition would be judged based on definite rubrics.

PN 229--Hanging Gardens using recycled bottles Competition-GRADE 4 and 5

Respected Parents,

                    Greetings! This is to bring to your kind attention that an activity on Hanging Gardens using recycled bottles is being organized for Grade 4 & 5students on 12.06.2023. The activity is organized by the Sunrise Science club "Galaxy". Interested participants can create a PowerPoint presentation incorporating the pictures and a presentation video of doing the same. 

It must be sent on or before 10th June, 2023.

                        The aim of the activity is to help to teach children about environmental benefits. Gardening has a big effect on children and early years pupils as they go through physical, emotional and social development.

 

CONDUCT AND RULES OF THE COMPETITION

1.      Grade 4 and 5 students are eligible to participate in this activity.

2.     Participants should send their Power Point presentation which must contain the pictures of Hanging Gardens using recycled bottles from Day 1 and a presentation video.

3. The video should be in MP4 format and should not exceed more than 3 minutes.

4. Participants should wear the school uniform.

5. Interested students have to fill the attached google form on or before 12.06.2023.

6. Edited video will not be accepted.
