Parents and Students,

                                      Please note that the Asset exam is postponed for Grade 3-8 students. All the students must appear for the Asset exam. This is to bring to the notice and attention of those parents who have yet not paid for the asset exam, please note that Asset exam is mandatory for all students as mandated by The Department of Education and knowledge. The Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has mandated that all students from Grade 3 to 9 must participate in an external assessment. 

            

                  The recommended assessments for Asian curriculum schools are ASSET and ACER(IBT).Sunrise English Private School has chosen ASSET as  the required assessment as per the National Agenda Parameter for AbuDhabi and UAE.

 

2. The exam will be conducted online(as per the instructions by ADEK) ,during the month of March 2022.The fee for the test is AED 74 (inclusive of VAT) for English, Math and Science. It should be paid by 18.02.2022 by all those parents who have not paid the amount till date.

 

3. All parents are requested to fill the attached PARENTAL CONSENT SLIP and send it to class teachers by 17/02/2022, if not emailed till date. Ignore this email, if the parental slip has already been sent.

 

4. Please deposit directly to our school bank account as mentioned below or pay in cash at the school fees counter between 8.00 am to 1.30 pm from Monday-Friday.

 

5. Kindly send the scanned copy of deposit slip mentioning the GR No. and fee details to our school email as accounts@seps-auh.com

Parents and Students,                                               Please note that Sunrise School in coordination with EXTRAMARKS is organising Extra marks Olympiad test for all students of Grade 3-8 on 17.02.2022.                               It is mandatory for all students to register and the exam is free of cost. Only registered students can be part of the Olympiad. PN 684---The Painting Wizard ART competition-Grade 1-9

Parents and Students,

                                   The Painting wizard ART competition is envisioned as an inter-school, country-wide FREE TO PARTICIPATE ART competition which gives every child an opportunity to creatively express themselves and win for themselves a full year scholarship in the form of school fees. In addition every participating student will be eligible to win a daily Raffle draw (one giveaway a day for 45 days) which will give them 1 year's free e-learning course.                 

                              

                                   Through this competition, we want to build an opportunity for children across the UAE to bring them back into the touch & feel of the real world again and get them to interact socially with other children their age.

                                      Sunrise English Private School invites all the students between 6 to 14 years to participate in the 16th cycle of the annual Environmental Drawing Competition 2022, conducted by Emirates Environmental Group, Dubai.

Competition Details:

The competition will be held for 3 age groups:

Topics description:

· Marine Life in the Arabian Gulf (Age 6 – 8)

There are multitudes of marine and coastal plants and animals found in the Arabian Gulf. There are a number of unique species as well. Due to the increase in water temperatures and increased human activities, it is estimated that 1/3 of the species found in these waters could be extinct by 2090. It is important to teach children about the life in these waters, which is also the water source that supports the human population in the Arabian countries through desalination and marine food sources. Students are asked to draw these various species and show the threats that affect them.

· Nature – Looking Back 50 Years (Age 9 – 11)

UNEP is celebrating 50 years since its establishment in 2022. In 2021, UAE celebrated 50 years since its formation. 50 years is a very long time in terms of development. Human settlement and expansion of cities have always threatened nature. Through this topic, students are asked to look back 50 years and see how our way of life has affected nature. Have we expanded our modern civilization keeping in mind the health of the ecosystem, flora, and fauna? Are more ecosystems protected now? Or are there fewer habitats for wildlife now compared to 50 years ago?

 · Combating Climate Change - Your Contributions (Age 12 – 14)

For the past few years, it has become very evident that accelerated climate change is inducing decimating natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes and forest fires. This has affected the lives of both humans and other wildlife. Youth across the world are now demanding immediate change from world governments. However, a change can only come if one practices sustainable living themselves. Through this topic, students are asked to creatively tell the world how they are contributing to the change. What changes have they implemented in their lives that the current generations have failed at

Note

- Do not write elongated messages on the artwork. This will incur negative marking.

- Six winners from three categories will be selected – Namely The winner, First Runner up, Second Runner up and three consolation prize winners. The Prize Winners will be invited to attend EEG's awarding ceremony in the month of May,2022, where they will be awarded prizes and certificates accordingly.

- Please ensure that the name of the student or school is not mentioned within or in the front of the drawing. Parents may give encouragement, but must not have-on role in creating artwork.
