At Sunrise English Private School, the safety of our children is our highest priority. We recognize the critical responsibility we share with you in safeguarding our little ones. To support this shared goal, Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA)  and Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) have developed two comprehensive child safety guides—one focused on home safety and the other on vehicle safety.

These guidebooks provide detailed instructions and recommendations to help you create a secure environment for your children. They include guidance on installing essential safety equipment to protect children from potential hazards both at home and on the road.

Prepared and reviewed by ECA in collaboration with ADPHC, these guides adhere to international best practices and policy recommendations, as well as global health and safety guidelines.

PN 259---Liwa Date Festival [Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority] Grades 2-12

We are pleased to inform you that the 21st edition of the Liwa Date Festival will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The event will be hosted in Liwa, Al Dhafra Region from 14th to 27th July 2025, and is organised by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority.

Age group-7 to 18 years 

This vibrant cultural festival offers families a unique opportunity to experience the richness of Emirati heritage through live workshops, traditional performances, and engaging activities for children, including:

• Learning about various types of dates and palm tree growth stages

• Traditional Emirati coffee-making sessions

• Folk arts such as Al Yola

• Local handicrafts like Talli and Sadu

• Open art studio for children

The event is free of charge and requires no prior registration, making it an accessible and enriching outing for families. It is an excellent opportunity to deepen your children's understanding of UAE traditions and sustainable farming practices, aligning with our commitment to cultural awareness and SDG goals.

PN 258-- NO ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY

Respected Parents and Students,

                           Effective from May 2025, the existing policy on electronic devices will be re- enforced with the utmost stringency. Students are strictly prohibited from bringing mobile phones, tablets, or any similar electronic devices to school. This policy must be adhered to without exception.

On certain designated days when the 'Bring Your Own Device' (BYOD) provision is granted, students may bring their devices but must hand them over to the class teacher or section head upon arrival. These devices can only be collected when the students leave for home. 

Taking unauthorised photographs of fellow students while on the school premises, classrooms, school buses, and related areas, and posting them on social media is strictly forbidden and will be treated asa serious offence. 

Any student found directly or indirectly involved in these activities will face immediate and severe disciplinary action.

This email serves as a strict warning. The rules must be followed rigorously. Non-compliance will be strictly dealt with and will result in severe repercussions. 

 We urge all students and parents to take this notificationwith the utmost seriousness and to adhere strictly to this 'No Electronic Device Policy'. 

Looking forward to a unified effort in this crucial matter, which is vital for the holistic development of our students, both ethically and academically. This collective commitment would obviously ensure the growth of our students into well-disciplined and responsible citizens of the morrow.
