PN 433--Future City Design Competition [Grades 6–8]



Respected Parents and Students,

We are pleased to announce that the MATHLETE CLUB of Sunrise English Private School, Abu Dhabi, will be conducting a STEM Competition for students of Grades 6–8. The theme of the event is "Future City Design", where students will have the opportunity to create innovative models that envision sustainable and smart cities of the future.

SDG 11-Sustainable Cities and Communities. SDG 11 focuses on making cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. 

Date: Friday, September 12, 2025

Venue: MPH

Guidelines for Participation:

·        The model must be based on the theme "Future City Design" and demonstrate creativity and engineering thoughts and reflections.

·        Individual participation only.

·        Each student is expected to bring their respective model which is to be presented for the competition.

·        The design should reflect principles of sustainability, innovation, technology and mathematical concepts.

Judging Criteria:

·        Creativity and originality

·        Scientific and mathematical concepts

·        Aesthetic appeal and presentation

·        Sustainability and innovation

We encourage all interested students to submit the acknowledgement to their respective Mathematics Teacher.

                                 We urge all the parents to exercise heightened caution in school zones during driving of vehicles, adhere to prescribed speed limits, and heed on-ground markers and directional signage. This collective effort is pivotal in upholding student safety and preempting potential accidents.

                                Furthermore, parents are urged to instill in their children the practice of utilising designated crossing zones when commuting to and from schools and adhering to safety guidelines while navigating streets, thus ensuring their overall well-being and the broader public safety.

Subject: Business Idea Pitching Competition – Intra-School Event for Grades 11 & 12 (12th September, 2025)

We are pleased to announce an Intra-School Business Idea Pitching Competition exclusively for Grades 11 and 12, organized by the Commerce Department.

This event is designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and confident public speaking among our senior students. Participants will have the opportunity to pitch original business ideas in front of a panel of judges. The most creative, feasible, and impactful ideas will be recognized.

Guidelines:

  • Open to students of Grade 11 & 12 (all streams).
  • Individual or team participation (maximum of 3 members per team).
  • Each pitch must not exceed 5 minutes, followed by a brief Q&A.
  • Ideas must be original and practical, with clear problem identification, solution, target market, and basic financials.

PN 424--Entry and Exit Gates & Instructions for Arrival and Dispersal Effective from: 25th August, 2025

   Subject: Entry and Exit Gates & Instructions for Arrival and Dispersal Effective from: 25th August, 2025.

In continuation with our intimation through PN-406 please note the following arrangements for the arrival and dispersal of students effective from 25th August, 2025:

 

Arrival

  • School Transport Students:
    Arrival procedure remains the same.
  • Own Transport Students (accompanied by parents / walking / cycling / using public transport):
    • All students of KG, Primary (Grades 1–5), and Boys & Girls of Grades 6–12 will use only Gate No. 4 for entry.
    • Parents are requested to drop their ward near  Gate 4.
    • School staff and non-teaching staff will guide and accompany students to their respective classes as required.
    • Parents will not be permitted to enter the school premises during drop-off in the morning.

Dispersal

  • School Transport Students:
    Students will board the buses at the assigned timings and exit accordingly.
  • Own Transport Students:
    • KG Parents – Parents can collect their ward from B Block and C Block (as per school timings) using Gate No. 4.
    • Primary (Grades 1–5) picked up by parents:
      • Parents are requested to use only Gate No. 4.
      • Entry for parents will be permitted only at 2:15 p.m to collect their ward.

Seating Arrangements during Dispersal (Grades 1–5):

  • Grades 1 ,2 and 3– Seated in their respective classrooms C Block.
  • Grade 4  & Grade 5  – in their respective waiting rooms, C Block Second Floor.
  • Students using Private Transport will be seated in Grade 1A.

         Parents may collect their ward ,use the central stairs and exit via

             Gate 5 or Gate 6 .

Secondary Section Girls (Grades 6–12)

  • Own Transport (Walking / Cycling):
    All girls will exit through Gate  5.
  • Girls Picked Up by Parents:
    • Students will be seated in KG1C , B Block Ground Floor.
    • Parents will enter through Gate  4.
    • After collecting their wards, parents are requested to use the door opposite to 2A classroom to exit.

Secondary Section Boys (Grades 6–12)

·  Own Transport (Walking / Cycling):
All boys will exit through Gate  6.

·   Boys picked by parents:

    • Students will be seated in 11A , A Block Ground Floor.
    • Parents will enter through Gate  4.
    • After collecting their wards, parents are requested to exit through Gate 5 and 6.

Teachers will be present at each corridor to guide the parents.

We sincerely request your wholehearted cooperation in ensuring the safety and smooth dispersal of all the students.
