PARENTS AND STUDENTS ARE URGED TO READ THE EMAIL THOROUGHLY.

 

Parents and Students,

                                   As the health situation improves, we are glad to share this update from the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).We are thrilled to announce the full return to face-to-face learning in all schools effective from next term - April 2022. All reopening models will now be full physical learning. Distance learning will no longer be offered. This will be coupled with further reduced COVID-19 precautionary measures to support the return to normalcy as the health situation continues to improve.All schools will return fully to face-to-face learning from the next term.

 

In view of this,  please note the following:

1. Distance Learning Schools can no longer offer distance learning except:

· during temporary COVID-19 closure

· for students with medical conditions classified as high risk during the COVID-19 pandemic

· for students exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, including respiratory symptoms

 

2. Physical Distancing

Physical distancing will be optional, indoors and outdoors.

 

3. Unvaccinated Students Aged 16+

Unvaccinated Students Aged 16+ will be permitted to go back to face-to-face learning with a negative PCR test with 7 days validity.

        

4. Routine PCR Testing-

· All students aged below 16: 30 days (and green pass on Al Hosn App)

· Vaccinated 16+ students and staff*: 30 days (and green pass on Al Hosn App)

· Unvaccinated students aged 16+: 7 days *Including approved exemptions

reflected on Al Hosn App

 

5. Visitors Entry Requirement-

Green pass on Al Hosn App (or 48 hours valid PCR test if unvaccinated).

 

6. COVID-19 School Closure Protocols

· Class closures will no longer be required

· The school will close only if more than 15% of the school population tests positive.
