PN 478-- ACER EXAM DATES.[GRADE 3-9]

Respected Students and Parents, 

                                                 The Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has mandated that all students from Grade 3 to 9 participate in an external assessment. Sunrise English Private School has chosen ACER IBT as  the required assessment as per the National Agenda Parameter for Abu Dhabi and UAE. 

 

1. The ACER exam will be conducted online(as per the instructions by ADEK) and scheduled as per the attachment during the month of November 2023 during the school hours. 

 

2. The assessment will be for English, Mathematics & Science and will be conducted during school hours as per the attached schedule.

 

3. All students must participate  in the exam.

 

4. Students are requested to bring TAB or LAPTOP only for the exam which should be fully charged. Charger also should be brought along with the device.(TAB or LAPTOP devices will support the exam).

WIFI Connectivity will be provided by the school.

 

5. Please note the exam is for 1 hour duration for each subject. After Each exam there will be a break in between.

 

6. Students can carry notebooks and textbooks for the 8th and 9th period as per time table on the particular date of exam.

 

7. Students are  allowed to carry the device only on the allotted date  of their exam as specified in the attachment. Exams will be conducted strictly as per the attached schedule only.

PN 450--Cultural Fiesta Competition (Grade 6-12)

                                                    Sunrise English Private School is organizing a 'Cultural Fiesta' Competitionon 10th November,2023. Our main motive of organizing this program is to enhance social interaction and facilitate exchange of cultural ideas and thoughts and bring awareness among our Sunrise students about our Mother INDIA. It is a platform which emphasizes students to utilize the creative side of their brain efficiently and to display their talent through various performances.

Team Structure:

We invite students from Grades 6 to 12 to participate in the competition. A group of students from different classes can represent a state of India and portray their respective states' culture, tradition, language spoken, food, traditional dance, festivals celebrated, etc. in the form of musicals, dance and song performances, art displays, fashion shows, folklore dramas, placards, posters, etc.

The maximum number of team members allowed in a team will be notified after receiving the names of all the interested participants.

Rules and Guidelines:

1. The participants are requested to strictly comply with the rules set forward in the event details.
2. The participants are requested to strictly follow the practice times allotted to them.
3. The decisions of the judges shall be final and binding. Appeals against these decisions will not be permitted.
4. Use of unfair means during any event will result in the immediate disqualification of the participant from that event.
5. Those participating are allowed to dress up in cultural attire for the program, and must be in accordance with the dress code rules which will be informed to the participants. The participants are requested to report their costumes two days prior to the event to the designated cabinet member.
