PN 205-- Protocols And Entry requirements for students above 12 years

PLEASE NOTE THAT PCR TESTING IS NOT COMPULSORY FOR STUDENTS BELOW 12 YEARS. 

Parents and Students,                                       Please refer to  the following details regarding student's entry .School reopens on 29th August, 2022 for all students.Students aged 12 years and above must do PCR testing.  1. Students aged 12 years and above are requested to carry a hard copy of the negative COVID 19 PCR test taken.  2. Validity of the PCR test: 96 hours validity.Students aged 12 years and above can avail a free PCR test at a private or public clinic, hospital, or drive-through test center without the need to present a designated school code. They will be required to show their Emirates ID (or passport if their Emirates ID has not yet been issued).We advise students returning on Monday, 29 August 2022 to test on a date from 26 to 27 August 2022 to ensure they get their results in time.LLH and Life care hospital are providing PCR testing free of cost to students aged 12 years and above. Testing center-Biogenix Labs -G42 Laboratory  - Masdar City (24/7) 3.Students need to follow the COVID 19 protocol when they are in the school premises  Maintain social distance at all times(1.5 to 2 meters)  Always bring a minimum 2-sets of PPE and Wear proper PPE at all times (eg: Mask, Gloves etc) Report any unsafe conditions or acts to the teacher. Avoid gathering with friends. Always sit at your allotted seat only. You are not allowed to use others materials Don't share food and water with others. Bring enough water from home. Inform the clinic if you feel sick or if you have contact with someone sick. Follow all the instructions from the Teacher/ School Authority. Dispose of the used mask, gloves in the designated waste bins  placed in corridors (Yellow bins).

Parents & Students,

        The ban on the use of single-use plastic bags was announced on April 6, as part of the implementation of the integrated policy for single-use plastics launched by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi in 2020.

The plastics which have no reusability, and which do not actually get recycled should be considered as single use plastic.  For example plastic bags, straws, coffee stirrers, soda and water bottles and most food packaging. They, are used only once before they are thrown away or recycled

 The Impact of Plastic Waste Disposal on Soil and Water Quality at Dumpsites" had found that dumping of plastic waste can deteriorate soil and underground water quality due to leaching of additives, colorants, stabilizers and fillers present in the different categories of plastic products

Today, not casually picking up a bag at the end of a shop might feel like a small sacrifice to the individual customer. But the wider implications and messaging of that happening en masse is a moment of great importance in the UAE's efforts to preserve the environment.

To support the UAE government, we request the whole Sunrise Family (Teachers, Students and office staff) to stop using plastic Bags inside the school campus from 29^th August 2022.All the Students,teachers and office staff members are strictly instructed not to carry any plastic bags.
