PN 192--E Raksha Competition 2021 [Grade 6-12]

Parents and Students,

                                     The CIET-NCERT invites students from class 6 onwards, teachers across all classes and also parents/caregivers to participate in the contest which is free of cost. The participants have to share their original ideas, suggestions and safety precautions in the form of poster, painting, video, essay, blog or any prototype of software application, aligning with the theme of the competition. Entries can be submitted in Hindi or English. Best entries will be awarded prizes and certificates. Winners will also be given the title of 'Cyber Peace Ambassadors'. The details of the competition are enclosed in the Poster attached and also available on the eRaksha Website (www.eraksha.net).

Respected Parents,

                                  Please note that Department of physical education is organizing Squat Competition for Grade 1 & 2 students.Interested students kindly send recorded video by WhatsApp before Saturday, 3th July 2021


Criteria for Squat Competition

1)    Children are requested to send their video to respective PE teachers before Saturday 3rd July, 2021

2)    Entries should be in the form of recorded video of the participants performing Squats.

3)    Participants have to submit a video of minimum 30 seconds and maximum 1 minute duration.

4)    Entries should be sent through WhatsApp MENTIONING student name, class & division.

5)    Selection will be based on the perfection of the exercises performed.

6)    The decision of the selection committee will be final

7)    The demo will be sent to your class WhatsApp group.

 

Kindly make note of the following

1)    Students should wear PHE uniform.

          2)   Those who don't have  PHE uniform, can use T-shirt and tracksuit

The STEM for Life 2021 Summer Camps are exciting opportunities for middle and high school students in the UAE to explore the concept of energy and build skills that prepare them for the future. 


1. About

We have two awesome camps prepared for students this summer:

Mission Digital Energy Camp (25 July - 5 August 2021)

Energy Camp (8-19 August 2021)

By participating in these camps, students will learn about exciting STEM career paths.They will explore engineering, geology, computer science, sustainability, design and much more! They will also develop their coding, collaboration, problem solving, communication and critical thinking skills. Certificates and prizes will be awarded upon program completion!


2. Eligibility

The camps are open to youth ages 8-16 in the UAE and abroad.

PN 179--International SDG Art Competition 2021 [Grade 3-12]


Students and parents, 

Have your artwork: drawing, painting or digital work  featured towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Eligibility
Open to kids, teens and youths (aged 5-25), across the World, the International SDG Art Competition 2021 will aim to find a draw in,  painting or digital work done by a child living around the world to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and what the Goals mean to them. 
The theme of the competition is the SDG Goals and we will advertise it over the world.
The competition will open and submiton of entry on 21 June. The deadline for submissions will be 9 am on 29 June 2021.
The winner of the competition will have their artwork used on the cover of the International Internship University  IIU  Review report.

Entry 
To enter:
The artwork must be A4 in size.
The artwork could be digital work (poster no presentation)
Scans or photographs of the artwork must be submitted in high resolution format (e.g. PNG / JPG).
Artwork must be submitted by: https://bit.ly/2Sb445N
A parent/guardian/school must submit the artwork on behalf of the child entrant with full permission of the entrant, including their consent to the terms and conditions below. Schools must also have obtained the consent of that child's parent or guardian.
Only one submission of artwork per child.
Please use the judging criteria below for guidance.

The closing date for entries is 9.am on 29 June 2021.
The announcement and ceremony is 5.pm on 30. June 2021
Terms and Conditions
By submitting a piece of artwork, the entrant is deemed to have understood and accepted the following terms and conditions:
All artwork submitted must be the original idea and creation of the entrant and must not infringe anyone else's rights.
The artwork must not contain any personal information.
It is the entrant's responsibility to ensure that any person who appears in their artwork has given appropriate permissions for their image to be used in accordance with these terms.
The winning entry will be used on the cover for the IIU report which will be presented to the ..and published online.
By submitting artwork, all entrants (including the winning entrant and runners-up) provide their consent for their artwork to be used, free of being published online, social media activity and for display, and other related activity after the IIU Review is published.
By submitting artwork, entrants and persons submitting on their behalf agree that IIU will use their personal information for administering this competition, press and advertising purposes, including publication (online or in printed form) of first name, age and broad location of the entrant alongside their artwork, and in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
Entrants agree to the cropping or other minor alterations to their artwork when used in accordance with these terms.

The competition will be advertised in a number of ways including:

Judging Criteria and Selection Panel
The theme of the competition is the Global Goals. The artwork can relate to the Global Goals and issues relating to the Global Goals such as sustainability. We value all entries to the competition, unfortunately we will not be able to follow up directly with every entrant. 
The artwork will be judged based on the following criteria:
Creativity and originality of the artwork
The relevance to the Global Goals
Interpretation of the theme
Quality of overall design, colour and artwork

The 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs) are part of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a global agreement to eradicate extreme poverty and make the world a better place by 2030.

                 Students portfolio is a Purposeful collection of student's work that has been selected and organized to show student learning progress (developmental portfolio) or to show samples of students' best work .

Portfolio is made to showcase the students growth , achievements over the years ,in the present school as well as in the previous school studied. Please note-

2] All the Students of Grade 5- 12 are expected to prepare their personal portfolios as per the attached format in word document only. 

 

3]  Any innovative ideas and additions in the portfolio are most welcome.


4] The Portfolio must be updated every time throughout the year.Students can enter their exam marks, participation in activities details,etc throughout the year.  Teachers will inform students as to when they have to submit.Internal marks are awarded for the same.

PN 170--NATIONAL ONLINE YOGA QUIZ COMPETITION [Grade 6-12]

Parents and students,
                       Refer details of -NATIONAL ONLINE YOGA QUIZ COMPETITION in the attachment. Students are urged to take part.
 The NCERT is organising an Online Quiz Competition on Yoga based on Syllabus developed by it. Children from 06 to 12 and Teachers would be able to participate in it. The proposed quiz will be organised on My Gov (https://mygov.in/); (https://quiz.mygov.in/quiz/yoga-for-life-quiz/) and on DIKSHA (https://diksha.gov.in/) platforms. The Quiz will be open for one month starting on June 21 and will close on July 20 midnight 2021. The guidelines in regard to the proposed quiz have also been attached herewith.
