PN 155--WRO - World Robotics Olympiad [Grade 3-12]

 

Respected Parents,

                             We would like to invite  our students who are 8 to 17 years old to participate in the WRO UAE National Robot Olympiad that will take place online from 24-26 September 2021. This is an event of team based competitions that will introduce students to modern science and encourage them to learn and master new skills.

The winning team will represent the UAE in the WRO 2021 International Final that will take place online from 8–21 November 2021 along with qualified teams from other countries. The WRO 2021 International Final is organized by the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), a prominent global technology event designed for young people to showcase and develop their creativity, technical capabilities and problem solving skills.

       PowerBots-The future of Energy:

               New concepts, new ideas  and new technologies that will promote the utilization of clean and renewable energy.

WRO UAE National  Robot Olympiad Categories

· Regular category(8-17 years old):

A challenge-based competition where students must design, construct and program their robots to traverse and solve specific challenges on a field within a set amount of time.

·  Open Category (8-17 years old): 

A project-based competition where students create their own innovative intelligent robotics solution relating to PowerBots - The Future of Energy theme.

·  Future Engineering Category (14-17 years old): 

A self-driving car competition where students will design a model car, equip it with electromechanical components and program it so it will be able to autonomously drive on a track and avoid obstacles.
