Outcomes/Objectives Of The Workshop:

Students will learn about the basics of debate, develop some advanced skills, and participate in a mini-tournament. Students will learn how to form arguments, listen to their opponents, develop critical thinking skills, and discern the difference between reliable and unreliable sources for evidence. This will allow students to learn to speak to a diversity of different people in order to learn how to adapt their arguments to the audience they're speaking to.

Pre-Requisites:

This class experience is best using a laptop or desktop connected to Wifi.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Zoom App and Internet.

Students are required to keep a notebook, a pen, a pencil, and an eraser for the classes.
