PN 653--- The great Battery Challenge

Parents and Students

Every year, UAE residents buy millions of batteries; most of them end up being consumed in landfills. These batteries can take 100 years to decompose.

Batteries are made of large quantities of useful materials, such as steel and zinc metals which can be easily recycled just as newspapers, soft drinks cans, and plastic bottles.

The Bee'ah School of Environment ( BSOE) is a comprehensive, Bilingual Environmental Education Program, open to students of all ages. Through the use of online and offline channels, They engage students in fun and interactive activities that create and nurture environmental awareness, responsibility and advocacy.

In September 2018, Bee'ah signed a partnership with Duracell and launched a new interactive recycling competition "The Great Battery Challenge."  Now in its 3rd edition, schools will collect as many used batteries as possible inside the special bin that Bee'ah will provide to our school.

The competition will run from January 2022 until June 2022.

So we kindly request the whole Sunrise Family (students, parents, teachers and admin staff) to join us in the Great Battery Challenge to help save the environment and help our schools win major cash prizes.

Start your Collection and recycle batteries from today!
