We're thrilled to announce that submissionsare now open for the 4th edition of the White Oryx International Short Film Festival(WOIS), a student-founded platform that celebrates young voices in cinema run by students of Manipal Institute of Liberal Arts. WOIS started as a student's dream – to create a space where young filmmakers from the UAE could be seen, heard, and celebrated. Today, it stands as a vibrant community of storytellers, having expanded to the GCC and internationally. We'd love for you to be part of it.
Who can participate?
The festival is open to all school students from Grade 8 and above across the UAE. Whether you're an aspiring director, screenwriter, or editor – if you have a story to tell, we want to see it.

What's in store:
Shortlisted and winning films will be screened during a special 3-day festival in November 2025 (dates and venue to be announced soon). Winners will receive the Golden Oryx memento, along with certificates and prizes. Finalists and nominees will also be recognised with official laurels and honours.
