1st Future Readiness Championship 2019

Respected Parents,

                         Greetings from Planet EDU ! Planet EDU in collaboration with Qualification and Assessments International is proud to announce the world's first Future Readiness Championship 2019. The current era of the 4^th industrial age is bringing in sweeping, complex and unprecedented changes. In this VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) environment of the 21^st Century and beyond, students have to be prepared as the world of technology explodes around them. Many current jobs are being replaced by machines and completely new areas of work are emerging, leaving people with no choice but to be ready to keep pace with this fast changing world. Our students will have to be equipped with essential 21^st Century skills that will be relevant in fast-evolving study and work environments and school system needs to focus on developing necessary higher-level skills that will be relevant in the unimaginable future.

 

Future Readiness Championship is supported and certified by Qualifications & Assessments International, UK and the championship is open to students in grades 4 to 9 divided in three levels:

• Primary: grades 4 & 5
• Secondary: grades 6 & 7  
• Intermediate: grades 8 & 9

There would be 3 stages within each level mentioned above and the winner must demonstrate excellence at each stage.

We have attached an information flyer which will give you a detailed idea about the Future Readiness Championship, it's stages and progression through the championship.

 

Championship registration fee and school discount:

• The fee for the championship is INR 300/- per candidate inclusive of GST only. 

What will the students get?

• There are gifts and scholarships of upto 6 lacs to be won.
• Please refer to the attached flyer for details

Each student will get a certificate from QAI, UK along with a report on Future Readiness

 How to prepare your students?

• This is a skill based championship/competition and does not require students to prepare/memorise/practice or learn a different curriculum. Since it is a skill based championship students will need to naturally compete and demonstrate their abilities. The objective of the championship is to make students future ready and not to burden them with extra curriculum.
• Schools will however be given a sample paper after the registration process is complete to help students get familiar with the exam pattern.
• Schools will also be given a detailed overview of the skills tested / assessments strands which will help teachers understand the championship framework and motivate students in the right direction.

 How to register candidates ?

• In order to roll out registrations in your school, you can request Planet EDU to provide brochures/flyers for all students in classes 4 to 9 which can be accompanied with a school circular. Planet EDU will be happy to provide you as many flyers as you need to help you get maximum registrations. There should however be a minimum of 50 candidates from a school to be able to participate in the Future Readiness Championship 2019 and there is no cap to the upper limit for registrations.
• Planet EDU will also be happy to provide a draft circular should the school desire which can be co-branded, edited as per need and sent to parents informing them about the championship and registration process.
• Once the school has received registrations and fee from students the same can be consolidated and sent to Planet EDU.

 

When and how will the exam take place?

• All schools will be provided 3 window periods from which the school can select 3 dates for test administration. The championship running period will be from 14^th October to 23^rd December (with flexibility)
• The papers will be sent to the schools with guidelines to administer the test 2-3 days before the selected test date.
• Each stage is an elimination round and details on progression through the championship are mentioned in the attached flyer
