PN 568--Transportation Service Update – Shamkha and Shahama Areas

Respected Parents and Students,

We would like to inform you that starting from the next academic year (April 2026), the school will not be able to provide transportation services to and from Shamkha and Shahama areas.

Please note that our previous communication mentioned Shawamekh instead of Shamkha. Kindly ignore that email. ( PN 562--Transportation Service Update )

This decision has been taken due to the very low number of students availing the service, which makes it not feasible to operate the routes efficiently. Furthermore, as per Department of Transport (DoT) rules and regulations, we are required to complete all trips within the specified timeline, which cannot be achieved under the current circumstances.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause and kindly request you to make alternative transportation arrangements for your ward.

We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support.

PN 567--reEarth International Art Prize 2025 – [KG to Grade 12]

Respected Parents and Students,

We are delighted to announce that Sunrise English Private School has been invited to participate in the prestigious reEarth International Art Prize 2025, a global art competition that encourages young people to voice their concerns and hopes for our planet through art.

This international initiative, organized in collaboration with institutions in New Zealand and the UAE, with prizes worth $50,000. This is a phenomenal opportunity for our students to:

·        Showcase their artistic talent on a global stage.

·        Engage meaningfully with critical issues like climate change and conservation.

·        Gain international recognition and strengthen their portfolios.

·        Receive e-certificates, with chances to win cash prizes and international exhibition opportunities in Auckland (New Zealand) and Venice (Italy).

Competition Details:

·        Art Forms: Painting & Drawing, Photography, Digital Art & Illustration, AI Generative Art.

·        ThemesLife on Earth, Life Under Water, Beyond Humans, People and Planet Connected.

·        Eligibility: Open to all students from KG to Grade 12 (Ages 4+).

·        Submission DeadlineMonday, 16th  October 2025.

·        Submission Process: The school will coordinate group submissions.

Guidelines:

1.      Students may participate in any of the above art forms under the given themes.

2.      Entries must be original and reflect the student's vision for a sustainable future.

3.     All artworks should be submitted to the respective Art Teachers before the deadline.

4.     Ensure the name, class, and section of the student is clearly mentioned on the back of the artwork.

5.     Judging Criteria – Creativity, originality, theme relevance, and overall presentation.

Topic explanations:

1.     Life on Earth
celebrates our living planet by showing the colours, shapes, and patterns of forests, deserts, mountains, cities, animals, and plants. Highlight why Earth's everyday wonders matter—like a tree through the seasons, birds on a wire, a busy market, a fresh landscape after rain, or a poster about caring for your local place.

2.     Life Under Water
Dive beneath the surface to show rivers, lakes, oceans, and streams, with corals, swaying plants, and curious creatures. Capture the calm, movement, and mystery of underwater life—like a coral garden, a turtle's path, lake reflections, a drop of water under a microscope, or the impact of plastic and oil on clear waters.

3.     Beyond Humans

Humans aren't alone. Insects, fungi, microbes, plants and animals all share this planet. Celebrate their hidden worlds and show how they live, communicate and survive beside us. Portray the world from a bee's eye; mushrooms threading networks underground; night-time animal visitors to a backyard; or a comic about how light and noise affect wildlife.

4.     People and Planet Connected

We depend on Earth, and Earth depends on us. Show the links between people, places and nature—food, water, air, culture, work and play—and our responsibility to look after them. Create a family garden; a community clean-up; cycling to school; solar panels on a roof; sorting waste for reuse; or a scene of a damaged place healing with care.
