Expo 2020 was a World Expo hosted by Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. Originally scheduled for 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates. Despite being postponed, organizers kept the name Expo 2020 for marketing and branding purposes. The UAE selected the theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future" and the sub-themes Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity.
The Department of UAE Social Studies is conducting a Competition –Glimpse of Expo-2022 -Digital Photography on 17-11-2022. The aim of the competition is to create an awareness about the intention of conducting the global events like EXPO which offers visitors an unforgettable experience with cultural events, interactive exhibitions and groundbreaking technologies.
RULES OF THE COMPETITION
Topic: Glimpse of Expo 2022
Grades eligible: Grade 7 and 8 (Girls and Boys)
· Participants must take the print out of a digital photograph which they have taken during their Expo Visit
Rubrics of judgment-.
1. The lighting.
2.The story it tells.
3. Its technical quality.
4.Creativity.
5.Composition.
6. Points of interest.
7.Use of color.
· Competition will be held on 17/11/2022.
· The Participants can submit the photograph by taking the print out on an A4 sheet and framing / sticking on a foam board
· Submission date-16-11-2022 to respective Usst Teacher
