The first day of the Hijri year is celebrated as a special and important occasion by the Muslim Ummah all over the world. The month of Muharram marks the beginning of a new Islamic year. It is believed that ,it was the day when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) moved from Mecca to Medina, leading his people. His pilgrimage is called Hijra. Muslims around the world are celebrating Hijri New Year. Muharram is the second holiest month of the Islamic year after Ramadan. As part of celebrating this day Islamic department would like to conduct the Welcome Card making competition.
CONDUCT AND RULES OF THE COMPETITION:-
· Topic of the Competition- Making Islamic New year Welcome cards
· Grade 3-5 students are eligible to participate in this competition.
· The competition will focus on depiction of the topic in required creativity.
· Participants should bring required things -A4 card paper, decorative sequence, (check in art book) decorative ribbons, sketch pen, flowers.
· Welcome cards should be neat and clean.
· Blending Both Arabic and English languages will be preferred.
Two rounds will be conducted for selection preliminary and final.
Date of competition: 15th June 2023
