In line with the year of Community and on Emirati Education Day,Sunrise English Private School is introducing Service Learning Fridays ,the school will dedicate hands-on community engagement opportunities .
The planned activities include:
- Creating Kindness Cards for Hospital Patients – Students will design heartfelt cards with encouraging messages to bring smiles to hospital patients.
- Growing a School Garden & Donating Produce – Encouraging sustainability and healthy living by planting fruits and vegetables, which will later be donated to those in need.
- Recycling Initiatives – Learning the importance of sustainability by engaging in activities that promote waste reduction and recycling.
- Beach Clean-Up – Teaching environmental responsibility by participating in a clean-up drive to protect our natural surroundings.
- Organizing Book Drives – Encouraging a love for reading and sharing by collecting books to donate to underprivileged children.
- Making Pet Toys or Blankets for Animal Shelters – Promoting kindness to animals by crafting items that bring comfort to shelter animals.
- Writing Thank You Letters to Frontline Workers – Expressing gratitude to the heroes in our community, including healthcare workers, police, and emergency responders.
- Leading Food Drive and Volunteering Food Bank- Encourage compassion for fellow beings .
We expect wholeheartedly support and cooperation from all our students of Grade 1-9 and 11 in the above initiatives.
