Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism is excited to announce the Dubai Esports and Games Festival (DEF) from 8th to 11th May, 2025 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
As part of the festival, we have developed the DEF Educational Engagement Programme which aims to educate, engage and empower both students and educators. Running from March to May 2025, the programme features gaming tournaments and creative competitions, including the *Minecraft Education Challenge, Fortnite Competition, as well as a Hackathon with HP Gaming Garage and a total prize pool of AED 50,000*.
What's more, participating *students* will also receive a FREE family pass to visit the festival. Schools across the UAE can visit the festival for free on the 8th of May.
