Sunrise English Private School is proud to participate in the Dunes Inter-School Hackathon 3.0, a thrilling event where young innovators collaborate to design impactful digital solutions and showcase their technical excellence.
• Event Details
• Date: Wednesday, 19th November 2025
• Time: 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• Venue: Dunes International School, Abu Dhabi
• Eligibility & Team Structure
Grades 7 & 8 – Hackathon Mentorship Program
• 1 team of 3 students (minimum 1 girl participant)
• Basic Python skills (loops and conditionals) required.
• Students will work on a guided Python project in collaboration with mentors from Dunes International School.
• Evaluation will be based on creativity, coding, and presentation skills.
Grades 9 to 12 – Hackathon Competition
• 2 teams of 3 students each (minimum 1 girl participant per team).
• Students will compete in three rounds:
1. Quick Think Round – Python problem-solving & debugging
2. Brain Teaser Round – Logical reasoning and algorithm design
3. Innovating for Schools of Tomorrow – Prototype presentation
• Awards & Recognition
• Rising Innovators Award – Best performing mentorship team (Grades 7–8)
• Swift Solver Award – Quick Think Round winner
• Logic Legend Award – Brain Teaser Round winner
• Prototype Pioneer Award – Best prototype presentation
• Hackathon Champion Award – Overall best school
All participants will receive Certificates of Participation
• Project Requirements
• Bring your own fully charged laptop and charger.
• Install Python IDLE and PyCharm (Grades 7 & 8).
• Projects must be original, functional, and address real-world problems.
• No use of AI tools is permitted during the event.
• Code of Conduct
• Maintain professionalism and respect at all times.
• Strictly no plagiarism or unfair means.
• Western formals are the required dress code.
• Additional Information
• Lunch and snacks will be provided by the host school.
• One teacher will accompany Sunrise participants.
• Parents and visitors will not be allowed during competition hours.
