Online course for future astronauts with an online excursion to the Russian Star City and practice of spacecraft's launch in the simulation software.
Program Description
Day 1. Introduction of Astronaut's job.
Students will become acquainted with the concepts of crewed flights and the profession of an astronaut, aspects of astronauts selection. Historical facts about the first space flights and astronauts training. Stages of choice to the astronaut crew. Current requirements for future astronauts.
Day 2. Cosmonaut training in Russia.
Students will gain knowledge about the main types of astronaut training, pass the virtual tour around the Russian cosmonaut training centre. Simulators for space flight training: spacecraft, modules of orbital stations, hydro laboratory, centrifuge. Extreme types of training: survival, parachute, and flight training. Biomedical and psychological preparation.
Day 3. Spacecrafts and spaceports.
Students will study rocket science history, engineers and creators of space rockets, spacecraft design, location and design of spaceports, tech of space rockets launch. The practice of spacecraft's launch in the simulator - KSP software.
Day 4. Spaceships and Space stations.
Russian and International spaceships projects: history, present, modern space technology, and future. Orbital stations. International Space Station. The extraterrestrial bases on the other planets. Game tests and tasks.
Day 5. Cosmonaut's life on the International Space Station.
Ordinary astronauts day into the Earth orbit: time panning, nutrition, sleep, hygiene, work, and rest. Spacewalk and Space experiments on the ISS.
Age of participants: 10-16 years
Duration: 5-days sessions for 1,5 hours each
