We are thrilled to extend an invitation to participate in the upcoming Commerce Catalyst – A Battle of Business Brilliance, an inter-school competition hosted by The Indian Academy, Dubai.
The aim of this competition is to ignite curiosity, promote research, and inspire innovation and entrepreneurship skills beyond classroom boundaries. Through interactive competitions like business simulations and case study analysis, students can showcase their talents and compete while forging new connections.

Event List:
1. Corporate Mavericks: Case study presentations on real-world corporate challenges.

Number of Participants : 3 per team.
· Each team is provided with a case study related to real-world corporate challenges, such as market entry strategies, product launches, or organizational restructuring and 45 minutes to prepare for their presentation.
· Presentations can take various formats such as verbal presentations, or role-plays. Creativity in presentation style is encouraged.
· Each team will be given 5 minutes to present their work.
· Following the presentation, teams may be subjected to a question-and answer session where judges can inquire further about their analysis and recommendations.

2. Business Innovators Challenge: Business proposal pitches for new products or services.

· Number of Participants : 3 per team
· Each team should come prepared with the business proposal for a new product or a service. · Proposals should include the business name, concept, target market, unique selling proposition, marketing strategy, and financial plan.
· On the day of the competition, each team will have 10 minutes to pitch their business idea to a panel of judges.
· Presentations should include visual aids such as slides, prototypes, or demonstrations.

3. Sketch It Out: Logo design competition for a given product/service.

· Number of Participants : 3 per team
· Students must draw a logo of the given product/ service.
· The design of the logo should be unique. ·
· The logo should have a slogan or tagline.
· A4 sheets will be provided.
· At the end of 40 mins, each team will get 2 minutes to present their logo and tagline for their product/service.
Judging Criteria: · Creativity and Originality · Relevance and Clarity · Design and Aesthetics · Inclusion of Slogan/Tagline · Presentation Skills
4. Cognitive Clash: Quiz based on Psychology with preliminary and stage rounds.
Teacher Incharge : Mr. George Kutty (georgekutty.l@seps-auh.org)
• Number of participants: 3 per team
• 45 minutes for the preliminary round, 60 minutes for the stage round.
• Description: A quiz based on Psychology. The teams would first need to clear a preliminary written test after which they would be promoted for the stage round.
Judging Criteria:
• Preliminary Round – Top four teams would proceed for the stage round which includes General type of questions and puzzles.
• Stage Round – Team scoring the most points will be adjudged the winner which includes visual rounds and rapid-fire rounds.
Interested students are requested to fill the attached acknowledgement and send it to the respective event coordinator on or before June 10, 2024.
