Just A Minute (JAM) speech competition is a public speaking event where participants are challenged to speak on a given topic for exactly one minute without hesitation, repetition, or deviation. The competition is designed to test and improve various communication skills, including quick thinking, fluency, and coherence in speech.
A JAM competition is being organized by Canterbury Club (Primary Department of English) for Grade 5 students. The main objective of the competition is to encourage the young minds to develop their self-expression and confidence by exhibiting their oratory skills. It stimulates creativity and imagination by encouraging students to think outside the box and come up with original ideas.

Topic: JAM
Present a speech on any one of the given topics for Just A Minute. Topics will be given to them on the spot where they have to prepare and speak on the topic instantly.
Objective: To develop their self-expression and confidence by exhibiting their oratory skills spontaneously.
RULES OF THE COMPETITION
• Topic: Prepare on any one of the topics given instantly
• Grades eligible: Grade-5 Girls and Boys
• Duration– 1 minute for each student.
• It is a solo event and the competition would be judged based on definite rubrics.
